Easy Lemon Drop Cookies

1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon lemon extract

Mix butter and sugar in large bowl until creamy. Mix in egg and lemon extract. In another bowl sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to butter mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350F for 9 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
